Passionate to eat better, Infarm was founded in Berlin in 2013 by Osnat Michaeli and the brothers Erez and Guy Galonska. With the aim to share the goodness of own-grown produce with everyone, they developed a smart modular farming system that allows distribution of farms throughout the urban environment, growing fresh produce in any available space and fulfilling any market demand. 

Today, with cutting edge R&D, patented technologies, and a leading multi-disciplinary team, Infarm is growing a global farming network helping cities become self-sufficient in their food production while significantly improving the safety, quality, and environmental footprint of our food.

  • Support implementation and fulfilment of the company quality, food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Analyse the company food safety, hygiene, and risk assessment plans and update regularly
  • Follow up product and process requirements of the country regulations within the company business operations and locations 
  • Provide advice and support to the food safety compliance relevant projects including product labelling requirements, ensure alignment with the corresponding regulatory and other relevant stakeholders’ expectations
  • Coordinate the validation of quality and food safety related of post-harvest processes, laboratory tests and other relevant validation tools and analyse corresponding results
  • Coordinate and conduct food safety and hygiene training through the company locations, ensure their effectiveness towards achieving the highest level of hygiene standards
  • Support processing and further developing the food and hygiene standards to ensure continuous improvement
  • Support the development and implementation of HACCP plans for new products and processes
  • Manage Global GAP certification process and build upon our existing Global GAP accredited quality system documentation and procedures
  • Manage product recall processes when required, leading all necessary meetings with urgency and carrying out root cause investigations with clear recommendations for further action
  • Give guidance to a team of Quality and Safety Representatives within our regional production teams on the necessary regular checks (ie GMP Audits, environmental testing) that need to be in place on their sites, and monitor and trend results
  • Take the lead in reducing the number of quality rejections and complaints, establishing performance indicators and management systems to monitor trends and prioritise actions and providing responses to customer queries through your team
  • Supporting customer or external audits with certification bodies
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of our supplier approval and specification systems - conducting off site supplier audits where required


  • Qualifications in agri-food sciences and technologies, biology, industrial microbiology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of this job
  • Industrial experience in quality and food safety management implementations, auditing, and assessments (i.e. the Global G.A.P. IFA, QMS, FSSC 22000, GFSI recognised schemes)
  • Experience in food labelling requirements and compliance is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, with a track record of working cross functionally across other departments
  • Strong problem-solving including root cause, corrective and preventive action implementation
  • Fluency in English (German is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel to sites across Europe as necessary
  • Multi-site/Multi-location experience across Europe 
  • A strong leader who inspires confidence and builds trust across the business
  • Comfortable with in-depth data analysis and driving action off the base of the evidence that this provides
  • Passionate about improving standards, and willing to challenge existing processes
  • Someone who recognises the achievement of the team is greater than the individual
  • Willing to get hands on and directly involved with implementation where required
  • Valid EU driving license.
