This is a remote position that does not require to be based in our Berlin HQ. 

Responsibilities

As Infarm's “Head of Project Delivery Europe” you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of construction projects from Due Diligence phase, permits submission, tendering process, cost control and delivery
  • Think strategically about optimizing the entire project execution process, as well as dive directly into tasks when needed
  • Be adaptable and able to hire, manage and coach a team of exceptional project managers in the pursuit of delivering the best facilities possible
  • Establish successful relationships with other functions in the Company and in the wider Europe team: Sourcing & Real Estate, Sales, Activation & Installation, Operations
  • Be ultimately accountable for handing over functional facilities to the Activation & Operations team, according to the yearly plan
  • Focus on Delivery: oversee all aspects of the lifecycle of a portfolio of projects, from due diligence to close-out
  • Budget: own and report on a Delivery Capex budget tied to expansion objectives
  • Resource management: manage resources to ensure the team is properly staffed to deliver on the objectives. Analyze pipeline requirements and assess potential resourcing needs
  • Leadership: be responsible for the continuous improvement of team members and delivery team processes
  • Communication: champion excellent team communication, liaise with cross-functional leadership as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience working for a fast-paced construction management firm
  • Has managed all aspects of real estate development process from due diligence, financial modelling, permitting, site feasibility, contracting, design development, construction means and methods, operational handover
  • Experience working with industrial real estate, ideally with complex HVAC systems and/or extensive MEP requirements
  • Ability to influence horizontally and vertically across the organization to keep project goals on track
  • Experience leading, mentoring and guiding large teams
  • Relationship - and partnership-building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Highly resourceful problem solver and quick learner
  • Excels under pressure and can maintain a calm demeanor
