About the Role:

Our task for the years ahead is to build off our exceptional business and team fundamentals to aggressively grow our network and become landlords’ partner of choice for all flexible commercial uses.

You will report to the Senior Director, Learning & Development and will be responsible for building engaging and forward-thinking learning experiences for new and existing Industrious employees that stick! This might include fun and self-paced systems training videos, engaging e-learning courses for new hires, and awesome slides & facilitator guides for in-person and virtual manager training; to name a few. The ideal candidate is a data-driven and action-oriented learning designer experienced in creating all types of learning; from formal to informal, and from self-paced to hybrid to instructor-led. We have an exciting challenge as we look to double in size over the next year. The role will require someone who is comfortable working quickly, iterating their designs based on feedback, and delivering impactful learning at speed.

This role is based in New York City.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope, design, develop, and deploy elearning, job aides and just-in-time content, instructor-led course materials, and online knowledge management solutions
  • Utilize available resources to produce relevant, measurable and learner-centered solutions utilizing scripts, storyboards, content authoring tools, and user-centered design techniques
  • Manage the assessment, planning, scheduling, and tracking of learning across the organization in a way that supports organizational goals and captures evaluation, impact, and learner data
  • Implement and administer a Learning Management System (LMS)

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in developing learning content or instructional design
  • Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia and the Adobe Creative Suite or other e-learning authoring, screen capture, and design software
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when creating learning content, with a track record of creating systems to easily identify, track, and prioritize learning needs
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and design methodologies with a track record of practical application in formal and informal contexts
  • Successful record of building effective learning experiences in the format of simulations, game-based and gamified learning, websites, microlearning, just-in-time solutions, job aids and infographics, video, and animation/motion graphics
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, influence, and develop strong relationships with cross-functional leaders and subject matter experts
  • Comfort developing and leveraging systems and tools to analyze learner data that drives future decision-making
  • Experience in high-growth environments preferred
