The Field Management, Data Analyst role requires an aptitude for agronomy, precision ag hardware and software expertise, geospatial software expertise, and people skills. The Data Analyst will collect, organize, and process on-farm data across all regions. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and assist all related personnel in accomplishing company goals as it relates to data collection. This includes working with Indigo Ag staff, seed partners, and grower customers.

This role will be located in our Memphis, TN office.


Outcomes and Responsibilities:

  • Establish deep knowledge of Indigo current customers, geographies and crops
  • Create detailed documentation of incoming data and communicate data statistics to teams
  • Become an expert in the Indigo precision ag software including data receipt, processing, and manual entry
  • Be familiar with other tools/platform software (ArcGIS, QGIS) used for Field Technology Manager’s tasks
  • Be familiar with discrepancies in data and implement solutions to correct
  • Create successful cross-functional relationships within Indigo
  • Become proficient at supporting and speaking with Indigo customers
  • Act as back-up for Field Technology Manager if he or she is called away on other tasks
  • Demonstrate personal and/or professional passion for our core values


Competencies and Qualifications:

  • BA in math, economics, agronomy or tech, crop science, or environmental science or in the process of getting degree (internship)
  • Computer, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with office tools, ability to upload data to databases and QC and manipulate messy data
  • Multi-tasker, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Precision Agriculture Programs 
  • Experience in or desire to learn ESRI and QGIS skills
  • Experience in precision agriculture preferred
  • 1-2 years of Ag industry experience preferred
  • Ability to use or learn R or Python +++
  • Collaborative, good people, communication, and organizational skills, especially because the team exists in multiple different offices
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team
  • Proven experience with personnel in the field
  • Strong customer focus and sense of urgency
  • Detailed-orientated
