The primary objective of this position will be to lead Product Screening efforts with the goals of optimizing consistency and predictability of product performance; enriching flow of product candidates with desired characteristics and creating a data asset for use across the R&D pipeline. Generated data will continue to strengthen Indigo’s pipeline to produce successful commercial candidates.

 

Outcomes:

  • Review current Stage 3 pipeline and provide technical assessment and path forward
  • Learn the entire pipeline and how this role can complement Discovery, Product Development and Commercial
  • In addition to R&D, work with external sources (i.e. CROs, collaborators, consultants) to leverage expertise and resources
  • Take ownership of proposed experiments for next season
  • Design/optimize and implement screening assays that will allow Indigo to effectively evaluate products in our pipeline
  • Create a Stage 3 Trialing Data Asset for use across the R&D pipeline

 

Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. and/or 2-5 years of academic or industry experience (industry experience desirable)
  • Expertise in any of the following disciplines: plant science, plant genetics, plant biology/physiology, plant-microbe interactions, agronomy and ability to effectively engage across them
  • Experience with high throughput testing desirable
  • Experience with creation of Greenhouse screening assays desirable
  • Experience with agriculture chemistries desirable
  • Demonstrated excellent experimental design, analysis and interpretation
  • Statistical analysis and use of R desirable
  • Ability to reach out across the organization and work with teams, i.e. Data Sciences, Discovery, Commercial, Product Management, Greenhouse, etc.
  • Great organizational skills
  • Organized, methodical, and attention to detail required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage staff and projects
