Sr. Manager, Commercial Strategy

The Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy will identify, create and manage strategic initiatives to support commercial execution related to Indigo’s multiple product lines. They will be responsible for leading a team to develop and implement these initiatives using a data driven approach. Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to collaborate across the full Indigo organization will be critical to success.


Responsibilities:

Partner with the North American Commercial Leadership team to drive key priorities of the Indigo Enterprise

  • Build operational and execution-oriented plans (largely in PowerPoint and Excel) to execute on key priorities (current and not limited to) building and achieving:
    • Commercial sales goals
    • Market development strategy
    • Customer segmentation
    • Product and sales strategy
    • Commercial Reporting

Lead development of new strategic plans, functions and initiatives

  • Work with the VP Commercial Strategy to develop strategies and framework to maximize the value of Indigo’s Commercial team and resources
  • Work across the organization and key executives to optimize processes and procedures

Lead primary research efforts across business units related to new and ongoing strategic projects

  • Lead initial discovery work and Manage team of two to three analysts to achieve goals
  • Receive ad hoc requests and develop rapid response plan and execute

Partner with VP Commercial Strategy to build out and maintain a team consisting of A-players with a strong focus on high quality work products and collaborative working culture

  • Support the recruitment and retainment of a team of A players who view their success as commercial success at Indigo
  • Drive cross functional collaboration as part of team culture

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting and/or strategy/business/corporate development
  • Bachelor's required; MBA is preferred
  • Expected travel <10%
  • Strong PowerPoint and story building skills
  • Memphis Based Required
  • Agriculture experience a plus, but not necessary
