Responsibilities:

  • Work with European team to build organizational setup and end-to-end processes to execute business plan for 2020
    • Define processes required to deliver customer outreach and delivery
    • Propose detailed organizational structure and required capabilities for each role
    • Staff vital key roles
    • Define a performance metrics that allow us to deliver business objectives
  • Lead Commercial Operations function as a key interface between customers and Indigo and own handoffs of customer experience between all functions including Sales and field teams, Business Unit leaders, Business Development, Marketing, and Finance to provide customers with a seamless experience in:
    • Inside Sales
    • Customer Service/Order-to-Cash
    • Logistics
    • Supply/Demand planning
    • Any other required customer support
  • Directly manage transactional activities and work hands-on alongside team members to ensure smooth launch and scale-up of Commercial Operations in Europe. Responsible for:
    • Transactional and process mapping
    • System setup (ERP and CRM) in coordination with other teams and functions
    • Customer data management and reporting
    • Documentation and contract management
    • SOPs
    • Performance metrics
  • Provides feedback loop including customer insights and successes and failures in execution to continuously strengthen Indigo offering; Acts as thought partner to Commercial Business Unit and Business Development teams
  • After initial setup, create long-term vision for Commercial Operations scale-up, addressing areas such as level of staffing, required capabilities and systems, optimal locations, and external partnering options

Qualifications:

  • Progressive experience in working and leading Commercial Operations in in-country and shared service center setting
  • 8-10 years of experience in end-to-end order fulfillment processes, preferably in agricultural commodity sourcing or trading
  • Track record of successfully managing Commercial Operations teams and managing managers is required
  • Experience building or transforming Commercial organizations is preferred
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Experience in typical European service center locations is preferred
  • Willingness to relocate in the future depending on business strategy
