 Responsibilities:

  • Become regional authority on requirements on Indigo’s data collection, soil sampling and grain quality protocols.
  • Data collection: fully trained on all the requirements for data collection on the field -
  • Fully versed with all data collection platforms, submission processes & routing software
  • Grain Quality: grain quality testing with growers
  • Complete Carbon enrollment process training with a deep understanding of questions related to data collection.
  • Soil sampling: lead or assist with soil sampling efforts on the field
  • Ability to complete and pass safety courses related to the safe operation of soil sampling equipment
  • Recruit and onboard quality employees for FOS positions
  • Partner closely with Agronomy Regional Manager in the assigned region to ensure a consistent grower experience
  • Oversee day to day operations with Field Operations Specialists
  • Implement regional testing and sampling implementation plan (e.g., acre allocation to Field Operations Specialists)
  • Oversee professional development and certification for all Field Operations Specialist in their region
  • Ensure FOS team is set up with training, technological tools, compensation structure to succeed
  • Ensure growers have an excellent experience
  • Lead team towards data implementation/capture based on contract requirements
  • Ensure communication and initiate resolution of equipment issues (e.g., troubleshooting, maintenance and deployment of equipment) within 24-48 hours
  • Facilitate monthly technology and process reviews focused on identifying and communicating opportunities to continuously improve current technology and processes and leverage new technology
  • Adoption and mastery of new technologies for field team, in collaboration with innovation and technology deployment functions. Ensure team is familiar with changes to SOP and methodology adaptations.

 Qualifications:

  • BS degree in ag-related subject required
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • Ability to travel 50% on average with peak periods of 80%-100%
  • Must be available during peak work cycle periods
  • Prior agronomy management preferred
