Indigo Research Partners (IRP) is the world’s largest agriculture lab of grower profitability that partners with influential growers across the world. IRP growers test Indigo’s microbial technology, Indigo’s innovative business model offerings and other innovations across the value chain. IRP growers will be the first users of all Indigo offerings (current and future) and have the opportunity to evaluate products and provide invaluable feedback before they are launched to the broader agriculture community. Indigo Research Partners’ goal is to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies that optimize on-farm decision making and ultimately improve grower profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop strong relationships with 25+ IRP grower relationships and deliver a world class experience to all program participants. Visit growers on regular established basis (at minimum once a week)
  • Spearhead enrollment of IRP growers into Indigo’s offerings, including Marketplace and Transport, and collect constant grower feedback on experience, utility and value (responsible for all grower acres outside of 500 IRP “Research” acres)
  • Champion efforts with IRP growers to assist Indigo in development of value adding products and offerings across value chain
  • Serve as liaison between IRP growers and Indigo’s core functions (Product Management, Technology, R&D, GeoInnovation Communications, Corporate Development, Strategy, Etc.).
  • Develop effective communications method with growers to enable seamless capture of feedback across all facets of the program
  • Partner with IRP Hub Team (Technical Service Rep, Hub Manager, Research Technician) to understand all aspects of the 500 “Research” acres
  • Embody solution-oriented mindset. Consistently provide world class customer service and address any questions/issues from growers in a positive and professional manner
  • Train the IRP Hub Team on all Indigo offerings and activities outside of 500 “Research Acres”. Develop collaborative relationship with IRP Hub Team to provide the highest level of service to all Indigo Research Partners
  • Develop a planned approach for program expansion by identifying and prioritizing leads as directed by IRP Leadership. Use a systematic process to progress leads through IRP enrollment funnel using Salesforce or other Indigo tool/software
  • Proactively identify potential issues and work to improve the IRP experience

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience in grain marketing or in the service side of agriculture (i.e. ag banks, insurance, ag retail, etc.)
  • Knowledge of production agriculture, may come from a farm
  • Leadership experience in challenging, ambiguous environments
  • Ability to travel >50%
