Indigo is harnessing nature to help farmers sustainably feed the planet. Indigo improves grower profitability, environmental sustainability, and consumer health through the use of natural microbiology and digital technologies. At the heart of that enterprise is the Indigo Innovation group – working to identify transformative technologies and bring them to life within the Indigo business. Innovation is also the home for TellusLabs, now GeoInnovation – a team focused on building a living map of the world’s food system using satellite imagery and machine learning.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support for executives in the Innovation team
    • Setting up meetings (in-person, phone calls, video conferences) with internal and external parties (executives, business partners, clients, collaborators)
    • Coordinate with Finance team (filing expense reports, push through purchase orders and tracking of invoices)
    • Coordinate with People team (materials for hiring interviewing and scorecard sessions)
    • Coordinate with Legal team (NDAs, contract input and management)
    • Coordinate travel and handle expenses when needed
    •  Prepare for meetings: printing materials, setting up AV equipment, ordering food, etc.
  • Document and understand team/company goals
    • Track progress of goals
    • Identify ways to help the team achieve their goals
    • Build and maintain great rapport with all team members
    •  Quickly become embedded and understand how the team is contributing to Indigo’s mission
  • Identify & implement opportunities (special projects) to support each team
    • Develop and maintain organizational systems
    • Identify and implement solutions to support processes
    •  Follow up on tasks when needed
  • Attend, organize the agenda for, and lead the weekly team meetings
    • Create the meeting agenda
    • Prepare and share the presentation
    • Summarize meeting and follow up on action items
    •  Ensure there is a centralized document where minutes, work steams and clear owners are shared
  • Track and share:
    • All workstreams with workstream owners and complete dates
    • Quarterly and annual goals for the team
    •  Open positions with hiring manager and target hire dates
  • Quickly become an expert on navigating within the organization
    • Collaborates with all admins to allow for a well-oiled, smooth operation of all stakeholders involved
    • Understands who to go to within the organization to get things done quickly
    •  Serve as a conduit between the team function and other departments
