Indigo Research Partners (IRP) is the world’s largest agriculture lab of grower profitability that partners with influential growers across the world. IRP growers test Indigo’s microbial technology, Indigo’s innovative business model offerings and other innovations across the value chain. IRP growers will be the first users of all Indigo offerings (current and future) and have the opportunity to evaluate products and provide invaluable feedback before they are launched to the broader agriculture community. Indigo Research Partners’ goal is to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies that optimize on-farm decision making and ultimately improve grower profitability.

The role of the Indigo Research Partners Sr. Grower Representative will be to own and develop close relationships with each research partner within the designated hub. They will support the enrollment of growers and serve as the primary Indigo contact for any concerns or needs. Once the relationship has been established, Grower Reps will devote their efforts to supporting each partner with deep knowledge of farm operations, providing exceptional customer service, highlighting Indigo’s values, and building a long-lasting partnership. Grower Reps are well versed in all of Indigo’s offerings and has a strong understanding of all activities within IRP. Grower Reps will serve as a liaison between the grower and all of Indigo’s core functions, requiring candidates to demonstrate strong business acumen, deep and comprehensive understanding of ag business, and exceptional social intelligence.


  1. Owns and develops strong relationships with 25+ IRP growers and delivers a world class experience to all program participants. Visits growers on regular established basis (at minimum once a week)
  2. Spearheads enrollment of IRP growers into Indigo’s offerings, including Marketplace and Transport, and collects constant grower feedback on experience, utility and value (responsible for all grower acres outside of 500 IRP “Research” acres)
  3. Champions efforts with IRP growers to assist Indigo in development and evaluation of value adding products and offerings across the value chain
  4. Serves as liaison between IRP growers and Indigo’s core functions (Product Management, Technology, R&D, GeoInnovation, Communications, Corporate Development, Strategy, Etc.)
  5. Develops effective communication method with growers to enable seamless capture of feedback across all facets of the program
  6. Partners with IRP Hub Team (Technical Service Rep, Hub Manager, Research Technician) to understand all aspects of the 500 “Research” acres
  7. Embodies a solution-oriented mindset. Consistently provides world class customer service and addresses any questions/issues from growers in a positive and professional manner
  8. Trains the IRP Hub Team on all Indigo offerings and activities outside of 500 “Research Acres”. Develops collaborative relationship with IRP Hub Team to provide the highest level of service to all Indigo Research Partners
  9. Develops a planned approach for program expansion by identifying and prioritizing leads as directed by IRP Leadership.
  10. Uses a systematic process to progress leads through IRP enrollment funnel using Salesforce or other Indigo tool/software
    Proactively identifies potential issues and works to improve the IRP experience

  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Preferred experience in Salesforce or other CRM tools
  • Experience in grain marketing or in the service side of agriculture (i.e. ag banks, insurance, ag retail, etc.)
  • Has working knowledge of production agriculture, may come from a farm
  • Leadership experience working in challenging, ambiguous environments
  • Ability to travel >50%
