This is an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Project Manager with an interest in agriculture to contribute to a growing, innovative company. As part of the Project Management team, you will be responsible for enabling cross functional teams to meet commercial launch and operational objectives. Responsibilities include developing and executing project plans to ensure successful achievement of commercial goals, implementing standard processes to enable cross functional alignment between Commercial, Sales Operations, Strategy and R&D, and identifying and mitigating risks to commercial objectives. This position will report directly to Project Management and be based in Memphis, TN at Indigo’s US Commercial Headquarters.  Up to 25% of time will be travel to Boston or potential partner/customer sites.

Key Outcomes:

Develop, deploy and manage project plans to ensure success across functions involved in Commercial Launches

  • Lead meetings to ensure team alignment, transparency and shared understanding of goals, milestones, risk landscape and Risk Management Plans
  • Obtain cross functional inputs and buy in to build and implement project plans
  • Create and populate dashboards for quick reference to project status and functional responsibilities/dependencies.
  • Viewed by Commercial stakeholders as single source of truth across all active projects assigned:
    • Active workstreams and associated owners
    • Project-specific and cross-project milestones and deliverables
    • Information and communication management

Develop processes and Improve upon existing processes to enable efficient and scalable achievement of commercial goals

  • Become an expert in understanding complexities and interdependencies of each single-function and cross-functional workstream contributing to the Indigo Model
  • Participate in prioritization and problem-solving meetings
  • Develop systems/tools to enhance transparency and reporting of commercial efforts and goals during the selling seasons, with an emphasis on logistic tracking and reporting
  • Develop scalable and robust process as outcomes of projects

Seamlessly able to support and connect Commercial and Enabling functional groups on a project-by-project basis

  • Proactively able to balance multiple stakeholder priorities and inputs from across the company, primarily, but not limited to;
    • Commercial Operations, including Sales Ops and Agronomy
    • Supply Chain
    • Finance
    • Strategy
    • R&D
    • Project Management
    • Other as needed
  • Ability to seamlessly interface with Project Management team in Boston
  • Work with R&D Team to ensure timeliness of generate technical marketing materials to meet commercial needs

Become a Subject Matter expert in the tools and processes deployed by the Project Management team

  • Utilize project management tools and processes for effective project management
  • Able to drive organizational adoption of consistent set of PM principles, frameworks and tools
  • Utilize web based PM system and reporting within first two weeks of tenure
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into detailed project plans explicit next steps
  • Serve as role model and resource for enabling project team members to master basic PM concepts and tools

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS with 5 years experience in project management
  • Experience working with product launches and/or new service offerings in a complex industry.  Any of the following will be considered a plus:
    • Agriculture / Life Sciences / Fast Moving Consumable Goods
    • Industrial Engineering background or degree
    • Logistics, warehouse and/or fulfillment functional experience
    • Black Belt Six Sigma
  • Proven experience working at all levels of an organization simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time domestically
