  • Job Title:  Manager, Strategic Care Operations (Healthcare)  
  • Base Salary: $90,000-100,000k, based on experience and skill set   
  • Location: West Coast, United States (Washington/California) 
  • Work model: Remote 
  • Travel Requirements: Local and national travel required - up to 25% 
  • Reports to: Chief Experience Officer 

Job Summary:  

The Manager of Strategic Care Operations (Healthcare) reporting directly to the Chief Experience Officer (CxO) is a critical leadership support role providing high-level operational, strategic, and solution design and business analysis support across a multi-state region encompassing more than 10 health care business operations/clinics (care communities). This individual acts as an extension of the CxO, facilitating effective decision-making, driving key operational initiatives, finding innovation in current business operations and processes, and ensuring seamless execution of operational strategies related to our care business operations, client and tribal leader relationships, care delivery, member experience, and financial performance.  

This role requires a highly organized, strategic and tactical operational thinker with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of healthcare delivery, and a proven ability to manage complex care operations. An individual who takes has a passion for innovation within healthcare and a positive can-do roll up the sleeves attitude is an ideal for this position!  

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Strategic Healthcare Operation Strategy Planning and Execution: As a Strategic Operations manager you will play a role in supporting our health care organization in defining, executing and operationalizing next generation healthcare delivery models, including business plan development, business performance, and initiative management. Working with care delivery leaders and team members conduct care delivery, business operations, and member experience insights, identify opportunities for improved performance and scaled operations through innovation, service design, and practice transformation. 
  • Operational Management & Support: Work closely with the CxO to advance care, member experience, innovation, care across geographies and care communities, this includes monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and developing strategies for improvement. 
  • Support for Care Delivery and Business Operations Leaders: Works across multi-states, regions, and business units (care communities) to assist care team leaders in preparing for monthly business reviews, resolution of customer requests, healthcare system connections s, and other healthcare delivery partners. Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials for tribal and healthcare partner meetings. 
  • Member Care Delivery and Experience: Collaborate with clinical leadership to enhance member care delivery, improved the overall experience, and outcomes. Analyze member and employee satisfaction data and develop initiatives to address areas for improvement.  
  • Physician & Staff Management: Support the CxO and CMO in managing relationships with physicians and staff across and within our care communities. Facilitate communication, address concerns, and ensure a positive and productive work environment. 
  • HealthCare Operations Solutioning, Analysis and Documentation: Analyze care operations, document workflows, implement improvements, and assist leaders in scaling and streamlining operations. Assist care leaders to achieve stated objectives and continuously improve operational performance and the member experience. 
  • Support Care Operations Decision Making: Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the C-Suite to facilitate efficient decision making. Assess inquiries directed to the C-Suite, determine the proper course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual. Assist in facilitating effective decision-making through analysis and execution of strategic projects 
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work directly with care community leadership to document, clarify and communicate care strategies, solutions and services across internal and external communication channels. Serve as liaison across care businesses, physicians, staff, shared services and external stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across the care operations organization.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • The experience and expertise required to quickly develop client and member facing solutions across care delivery, business management, strategic and tactical growth initiatives across integrated care models.  
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. 
  • Developing business plans, business justifications, and operational forecast including conducting industry research 
  • Proficient management consultant skills as it relates to business planning, problem solving, critical thinking, initiative identification and execution 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel  
  • Experience with digital communication channels and tools (web, mobile, voice) and AI-oriented tools  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare and patient care businesses, as well as related outpatient, population health, and virtual care business models  
  • Experience with modern health care and business process automation tools. 
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery models, value-based care, and payer relations. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. 

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in healthcare consulting and operations management, preferably in a multi-site / multi-specialty, multi-business/practice settings. 
  • A background in management consulting, building innovative healthcare and consumer facing businesses is required to advance both our care enterprise solutions and member level impacts and outcomes. 
  • Proven experience in critical thinking, planning, operational execution, problem analysis and solutioning across people, process and technology. 
  • Experience in private equity or young aggressive growth companies in or outside of healthcare  
  • Experience in service design, design thinking, multimedia, web, social, and omnichannel member and customer experience solutioning and application of digital assets to drive business outcomes, results, and measures innovative 

Physical and sensory demands:  

  • This position will require extended periods of sitting, typing, and working on a computer screen. 
  • Close vision is required for computer work. 

Working environment:  

  • This is a remote position, with expected working hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm. Adjustment of working hours may be required to accommodate time zones.  
  • Ability to travel across a multi-state region, in the West, as needed.
