Job Description
Job Title: Director of IT
Base Salary: $120,000 - $170,000
Location: Mandatory: West Coast. Preferred: Greater Seattle/Tacoma or Las Vegas
Travel Requirements: Less than 25%
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Summary:
The Director of IT will lead the operational management of Indigenous Pact's IT infrastructure. This pivotal role will ensure high performing and effective IT systems and equipment available for Indigenous Pact and its patient care operations; promote efficiency and patient safety, ensure technical and regulatory requirements are satisfied; and instill a highly service-oriented mentality throughout the IT support services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare IT operations spanning technology infrastructure, data and information management, network, commercial software, integration, security and support in outpatient and virtual patient care settings.
Essential Job Functions:
IT Operations Support
- Select, procure, deploy, and manage Indigenous Pact’s technology infrastructure, including workstations, desktop applications, network, communications, printers, , security and access for both remote, mobile, and in-person personnel and locations.
- Lead technology implementations, projects and upgrades.
- Implement and manage effective technology service and support processes.
- Improve and manage IT helpdesk and service request process, end user support, and associated request and problem resolution
- Support data, network, and system access services (infrastructure) associated with clinical and member experience applications (EHRs, Web, RPM, patient schedulers, Starlink)
- Microsoft 365 desktop application suite administration and end user support services related to Office365, SharePoint, Time Keeping, and general office automation applications (e.g., SSO, Fellow, Asana)
Security Compliance
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks, and manage
- responses to security incidents.
- Develop and maintain HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, HCAI, and HRSA compliance.
- Implement and manage effective and compliant cyber and data security and privacy practices.
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard those systems, including but not limited to digital files and vital electronic infrastructure, and responds to computer security breaches and viruses.
- Ensure all IT security standards are reviewed regularly, and deficiencies are remediated.
Technology Policy and Procedures
- Develop and maintain organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain organization's disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Implement and manage technology and data governance processes.
Training & Enablement
- Ensures security training is current for all staff.
- Develop end user training and IT System training.
Team Management
- Manage IT Managed Support vendor priorities and performance.
- Recruit, develop, and manage an effective IT team, instilling a highly service-oriented mentality.
Administration and Thought Leadership
- Provide thought leadership and advice to Clinical Leadership Team and others throughout Indigenous Pact on matters of technology, such as AI, Process Automation, AR/VR, etc.
- Develop and manage enterprise technology and data roadmaps to align with business goals.
- Develop and manage IT budget.
- Develop and execute departmental strategic and operating plans.
- Actively direct managed service provider contracts, service level agreements, performance and overall technology support services (manage outsourced IT functions) across multiple locations in Washington, California, Nevada, Montana and other Western States.
- Willingness to take the extra steps needed to ensure an excellent member, patient, provider and employee experience in and outside the walls of our care settings
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management in an ambulatory/care delivery setting.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Proven experience with, cybersecurity, and IT support in a healthcare delivery setting.
- Strong knowledge of IT best practices, including security, disaster recovery, and data management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
