In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and functionality of our innovative products, collaborating closely with engineers, and managing essential testing and assembly tasks. Responsibilities
- Manage inventory of evaluation boards and coordinate with external vendors for board manufacturing.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of manufactured boards to ensure quality and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine testing procedures and protocols.
- Assemble and test boards based on purchase orders, and prepare them for shipping.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure consistent accuracy and reliability.
- Document test results and update tracking records.
- Perform precise soldering for rework of printed circuit boards (PCBs), including handling fine-pitch components (down to 0.4mm pin pitch).
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience with fine-pitch soldering and PCB handling.
- Scripting skills (e.g., for board test automation) are a plus.
- Basic knowledge of lab equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Basic computer skills for testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Willing to work onsite M-F in our San Jose office.
