Role: Accounting Analyst
Reporting to: Controlling Specialist
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in accounting, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing intercompany transactions, cost of goods sold management and contributing to the month-end closing process while ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

Responsibilities
• Manage the month-end close process for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and assist with variance analysis month-over-month to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Analyze third-party vendor costs by tracking expenses, verifying billing accuracy, and ensuring timely payments.
• Support external audit requests by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably with exposure to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) processes.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar tools).
• Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP standards.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
• Problem-Solving: Critical thinking and resourcefulness to address and improve financial processes.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish for effective collaboration across teams and with vendors.
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting, billing, and payments.
