About the role....

The Quality Management Systems (QMS) Director would lead and develop the Inari Quality Management system by managing teams and projects across the business, striving for best in class processes and practices to discover, develop, produce and deliver technology and products that will meet internal and external customer expectations. The Director would provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills.  The Director of QMS will be located in West Lafayette, IN and report to our Head of Supply Chain and Quality.

As Director of QMS, you will…

  • Lead and manage the quality management system from new product conception through to delivery of end product to customers by driving competitive performance metrics.
  • Ensure a proactive culture so that customers receive the product to the highest standard of quality possible 
  • Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic goals 
  • Establish quality and reliability standards by studying industry benchmarks and define the metrics required to assess performance against standards required 
  • Implement regulatory compliance and new quality processes and systems where appropriate 
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the business ensuring that problems are prevented and that customer requirements are met with any problems resolved effectively and economically 
  • Work to prevent non-conformances alongside technical and operational experts to develop corrective and preventative actions within required time-frame 
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, updating procedures and train team members where required 
  • Ensure effective internal and external audits happen as well as assessment and audit of subcontractors to minimize non-value added activities
  • Ensure that corrective actions are delivered and non-compliance issues are resolved on time 
  • Develop improvement and communication protocol within all systems and processes across the business 
  • Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution 
  • Report on Quality activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators

 You Bring…

  • BS degree in Engineering or Science related background with a focus in quality (Masters preferred)  
  • Experience in lab or product development environment preferred
  • 5 years Quality Management Systems Experience required
  • Experience in managing problem solving projects
  • Ag background preferred
