Impossible Foods’ vision is to change the way the world looks from space by creating delicious foods entirely from plants. Last year, our first product, the Impossible Burger, was introduced to the world with top chefs in NYC, SF and LA.

The Regional Sales Associate role will find, forge, develop, and maintain key customer relationships. This person will have the unique opportunity to help build markets from the ground up as we launch our first products.  The Regional Sales Associate will report to the Head of Sales Development.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a proven ability to develop deep, strategically important relationships and is willing to go above and beyond to help build the customer pipeline.

  • Has experience in foodservice, in food sales, in a kitchen, and/or working with chefs.

  • Is able to learn about, understand and communicate a completely new food product, with particular focus on communicating our product and process simply and clearly to new potential customers.

  • Is highly organized, able to keep many work streams going simultaneously. Substantial attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of our products and business.

  • Represent Impossible Foods to customers, tell our story, answer questions and capture action items.

  • Create customer pipeline and generate leads through research and relationship development.

  • Schedule & perform in-kitchen cooking demos for menu decision makers / potential customers.

  • Bring customers through sales pipeline, generate sales timelines, identify milestones, monitor deadlines, and close deals.

  • Prepare for customer interactions through in depth research, material development and logistical coordination.

  • Represent Impossible Foods at food shows, distributor events & ride-alongs, and at off-site pop-up events.

  • Serve as a main point of contact for and manage follow up on all items arising from customer meetings.


  • 3-4 years of experience in foodservice sales.

  • BA/BS degree.

  • Food or beverage industry experience and comfortable in a kitchen.

  • Experience working with Excel and SalesForce.

  • Willingness to travel, primarily domestically (80%+).
