with track records of creating new global industries.
During this interdisciplinary internship, you will work on the Business Development
team to build the strategy and business plans for co-products from various plant based feed
stocks. These products have the potential to be critical pieces of the future food supply
chains and have potential applications in food, pharma, and other industrial uses. The role
is to understand the market, value of the product, and build executable business plans for
monetizing the most promising products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work with the research teams to understand the target products and co-products in order to establish the market opportunities of the co-products 
  • Develop complete business plans for most promising co-products 
  • Determine supply and demand parameters, pricing, and market dynamics 
  • Establish the competitive landscape of respective markets, and identify relevant stakeholders/major industry players 
  • Summarize and present recommendations to leadership 
  • Tackle new projects as needed in a constantly changing startup environment

Education and Experience

  • Graduate student level in relevant field (MBA or PhD) 
  • Experience with business plan development and market strategies 
  • Knowledgeable in market evaluations, data analysis, prefer some experience with commodities-specific analysis
  • Background in chemistry or chemical industries is preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Market analysis and ability to dig up data 
  • Econometrics, statistical modeling and policy analysis 
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Experience accessing and working with datasets from trade, industry, government, and private organizations 
  • Fast learner, self guided and can work independently within operating goals 
  • Eager to learn a technical and complex business quickly
