Team Overview:

Impinj is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our team and assist in building out our test infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development, a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and a desire to contribute to the development of robust and scalable test frameworks. This internship will provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of automated test frameworks and tools to support software development and quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various components of our software products.
  • Collaborate with the software engineering team to integrate testing infrastructure into the continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and test coverage.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in the test environment and work with the team to resolve them.
  • Document testing procedures, results, and best practices to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.

What you will bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., NUnit, SpecFlow, Gherkin, Qunit).
  • Basic understanding of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) concepts and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
