Why this role is exciting!
This position will be based in Cape Town
What You'll Do:
- Develop, test and maintain SQL-Based Reporting Features for the Platform
- Perform meaningful testings for the features built
- Collaborate with a distributed team to fulfill the department's quarterly objectives
- Develop code both independently and while pair programming
- Write and maintain design, user and test documentation
- Learn the impact.com Reporting Tools
- Learn the impact.com Databases (which data is where, and how to find out how to utilise it)
- Learn best practices for creating well-performing SQL within the impact.com data platform
- Perform triage activities through verification and fixing of bugs
- Build customer-facing code with oversight
- Support software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Assist with quality management and continuous improvement efforts within the company.
What You Have:
- 0+ years of SQL experience
- You have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related field, MS Degree advantageous.
- You take Initiative.
- You are Adaptability.
- You have a continuous improvement mindset.
- You have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- You have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- You are a fast learner and have a positive can do attitude.
- You have a desire to work with Big Data and surrounding Technologies.
- You have good knowledge of quality management and continuous improvement.
