We are seeking a new Europe Head of Recruitment for our Amsterdam office. At IMC, we believe that hiring the right talent is critical to our success as a global leader in trading and technology. In a highly competitive and dynamic market environment, you will lead the Europe Recruitment function, encompassing four key areas: Campus, Technology, Trading, and Business Support Recruitment.

At IMC, you will serve as a true strategic partner to our leadership and hiring managers whilst having full autonomy to lead a team of recruiters. In conjunction with the Head of HR, you will set the strategy and vision with the team to achieve clear goals and initiatives that drive our business to the next level.

 

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Architect and refine the recruitment strategy and vision for IMC Europe (Amsterdam, London, and Zug offices) by identifying the organisation’s hiring needs and optimising talent sourcing and selection processes.
  • Lead the campus and experienced recruiting teams in their end-to-end talent acquisition efforts, guiding them to deliver against the recruitment strategy.
  • Coach and develop team strengths, ensuring effective resource allocation and fostering a high-performing environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as People Analytics and Marketing, to align recruitment strategies with broader business goals.
  • Provide insights on emerging trends and evolving recruiting practices, including competitor analysis, to refine approaches and ensure high-quality hires.
  • Drive large strategic (global) initiatives, including the EDI recruitment strategy and leveraging data-driven recruitment tools to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
  • Define and manage the annual budget for the recruitment function in collaboration with senior management.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador for IMC, representing the firm with authenticity and reinforcing our values.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ proven track record in an international environment, ideally within financial services, technology, or a similarly competitive industry. Experience in both start-up/scale-up and large corporate settings is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience leading recruitment teams across complex, multinational organisations.
  • Exposure to innovative talent practices, including recruiting STEM candidates, and experience working with organisations known for maintaining a high bar for talent.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data, with the ability to define data needs and translate complex information into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with analytics and compensation initiatives, and an understanding of the complexities of operating in a global organisation.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written. You inspire trust, build strong relationships, and influence effectively. You bring executive presence and subject-matter expertise to your interactions.
  • Adaptability to ambiguity, with a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities and driving continuous improvement.
