Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work independently or with Senior Chemist to formulate various skin care and hair care products
  • Make batches, research and request raw materials, test skin care products and troubleshoot under supervision
  • Adhere to a cGMP environment, document and follow lab procedures with attention to detail
  • Prepare all required paperwork
  • Attend cosmetic seminars and meetings
  • Request, test and release new raw material samples
  • Calibrate Lab Equipment as needed
  • Assist team members as needed
  • Assist in scale up and production manufacturing
  • Perform other activities as required

Required skills and Qualifications

  • 0-5 formulation experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Knowledge of basic science laboratory equipment
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills
  • Attention to detail and project management skills
  • Ability to work in team environment and independently

Job Type: Full-time & On-site

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 per year
