Role: Medical Senior Account Manager

ROLE MISSION

Working onsite at our client the Senior Account Manager is the primary day to day client contact, managing work on multiple projects and providing support to senior and junior team members ensuring content is delivery efficiently and accurately. Under the supervision of the Account Director, the Senior Account Manager is responsible for successfully delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations, within budget and timescales.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

Reporting to the Account Director, the Senior Account Manager sits within a small but growing medical advertising team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

Core Duties

  • Manage all aspects of assigned client accounts, including budgeting, invoicing, project management, client interaction, creative review, quality control and on-time delivery 
  • Key client contact and responds to requests, queries and concerns in a timely and effective manner building strong relationships and operating as day-to-day client contact for the account
  • Responsible for client satisfaction through the delivery of consistently high-quality outputs and service 
  • Identify problems or missing information ahead of time and effectively sources key information when unsure.
  • Identifies and disseminates relevant information and knows who to involve 

Account Management  

  • Ensure all roles and responsibilities are clearly defined at the start of the project, and that this information is relayed to all members of the project team and the client.
  • Involve relevant individuals in team meetings and discussions, to ensure that client business needs are optimally addressed.
  • Assist in project planning and internal set-up
  • Understands client brand/s, the market environment and marketing strategy ensuring strategic focus of all materials and programs delivered by reviewing their content the brief to ensure that the client’s needs are being met 
  • Strives to add value to client requests and drives innovative thinking and creativity  
  • Understands the importance of, and forges, strong relationships among key internal departments and counterparts to facilitate the smooth progress of client projects 
  • Keep abreast of external issues/events/changes in the external environment, and regularly review their impact upon projects and client objectives. 
  • Ensure team understanding of client corporate values and personality profiles of individual clients
  • Liaise appropriately with all relevant departments, providing information that may assist them in their day-to-day work
  • Attend client meetings/conferences as required and ensure all actions are recorded 
  • Provide and lead regular status meetings to client about ongoing projects and disseminate any key updates to the wider team 

Project Management 

  • Fully understands agency model and processes
  • Ensures implementation of all projects within their responsibility to quality standards, meeting all deadlines, or managing deadline amendment proactively
  • Ensures regular client and agency update on programme/project progress, and manages any changes to planned activities that may occur
  • Assists Account Executives with project planning, prioritisation and internal briefings. Ensures accurate weekly resource requests are made and submitted in a timely fashion 
  • Supports in the development of client budgets for work outside of the scope.  Manages client estimates and billing on internal systems 
  • Proactively questions and problem solve with creative and production departments to ensure smooth progress on all client projects
  • Participates in the assessment of creative offering relevant, insightful feedback and helps to develop the best possible content
  • Monitors timelines and alerts AD of resourcing issues and provides a suggested solution   
  • Checks copy, layout and artwork meticulously against brief and relevant codes 
  • Ensures server folders are kept up to date and well-organised with version control followed at all times

  • The ability to work well under pressure and manage workloads and multiple projects effectively
  • Proficient in standard software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience of using Veeva Promo Mats and experience of client review process

Experience in healthcare advertising sector / medical communications. 

3+ years of relevant experience in Account Management related to:  

  • Digital 
  • Print 
  • Motion Graphics 
  • Web Design
