About the Role

iCapital is seeking a skilled and dynamic Associate to join our Revenue Control team within the Corporate Finance organization. This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping the future of iCapital as we continue to scale and expand into new areas. This individual’s impact will resonate across various financial activities, from accounting and reporting for revenue on various products, to streamlining processes and driving scalability across the Corporate Finance team, and among other key stakeholders. This role will involve various responsibilities including month-end close duties, revenue, accounts receivable, treasury management, and financial reporting, as well as ad hoc projects and analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Oversight:
    • Perform revenue calculations and controls for various product lines across iCapital, including technology solutions, alternative investments, and structured investments.
    • Ensure precision in monthly and quarterly revenue estimates and actuals, providing insightful analyses of variances.
    • Foster a culture of financial excellence by collaborating with client relationship managers, Fund Finance teams, finance leadership, and external client contacts.
    • Review legal agreements and other key documents and understand relevant economic terms as they relate to revenue and reporting and apply that understanding to revenue calculations.
    • Support revenue trails tracking, processing, booking, and reporting.
  • Month-End Close:
    • Spearhead month-end close processes, preparing revenue calculations and KPIs for technology solutions, structured investments, and alternative investments products.
    • Calculate and consolidate P&L and Balance Sheet data, ensuring accurate journal entries for various entities.
    • Assist with the compilation and maintenance of invoices and accounting files.
    • Perform month over month roll forwards for key revenue metrics.
    • Assist with the development and maintenance of invoices and accounting files.
    • Prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
  • Driving innovation:
    • Support the initiative to enhance efficiency and automation of our existing revenue calculations and invoicing processes.
    • Develop insightful reporting and analyses to support business unit and product line leads with actionable insights for performance reporting to management and investors.
    • Identify and address process gaps, implement robust internal controls, and improving documentation for internal control processes.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of corporate accounting/public accounting experience within the financial services industry
  • Outstanding financial analysis skills and understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP reporting
  • Experience with revenue, treasury management, accounts receivable and payable, and cash reconciliations
  • Knowledge of booking journal entries and preparation of financial statements
  • Data-driven thinker who can manage large data sets for efficient analyses
  • Organized and detail-oriented process manager who can prioritize and communicate clearly with senior leadership
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to coordinate across teams and departments to complete projects
  • CPA license preferred but not required
  • Degree in Accounting preferred but not required
  • Familiar with Oracle NetSuite or other general ledger systems (i.e., PeopleSoft, Axiom) preferred but not required
  • Familiar with alternative investments or structured investments preferred but not required

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
