Senior Email Marketing Specialist  

 

The Marketing Operations team is looking for a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing team at IANS.  Marketing Operations is critical to building scale and automation that enables the marketing team to transform demand generation and brand engagement to capture a larger market share. Reporting to the Director of Database Growth and Marketing Operations, the Senior Email Marketing Specialist works on key initiatives to ensure IANS marketing practices are efficient and pace towards priority marketing and company goals.

You are a technically focused marketer with working knowledge of advanced email and digital marketing trends, exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to quality assurance.  You are a self-starter, action-oriented, and a creative problem solver, and will work closely and collaboratively with your team and other key functions in IANS across several departments, including Business Intelligence, IT/Tech, Sales and Product.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Manage and execute day-to-day email, including creating and segmenting lists, setting up A/B and multi-variant tests, and building, scheduling, and deploying campaigns. 
  • Oversee the creation, execution, testing, reporting, analysis, and optimization of email campaigns and our marketing automation platform.
  • Assist in the development of lead nurturing programs, working closely with the Marketing Operations and Demand Generation teams to devise strategies to convert new customers as they come through the sales funnel.
  • Regularly collaborate with Events, Demand Generation, Content and Product Marketing teams to maintain email marketing calendar, ensuring campaigns are well-executed, scheduled and coordinated in a timely manner in conjunction with company goals and initiatives.
  • Manage technical setup and support for campaign execution and provide reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager to actively drive, organize, and participate in key enhancements for marketing automation tools.
  • Ensure emails and landing pages follow industry policies and best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring email deliverability, data hygiene, subscription management and compliance with global opt-in laws and regulations.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to uncover insights and craft strategies that optimize our speed to lead and pipeline efficiency.
  • Create, design, and optimize various email lists, templates, and campaigns.
  • Proofread emails and landing pages for clarity, grammar, and spelling.
  • Constantly upgrade email templates using graphics, personalization, advanced features, and ensure mobile-friendly email templates. Provide consistency across email clients.
  • Document process road maps, A/B tests and associated results, and successful email promotions.
  • Troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues, and other key marketing ops functions.
  • Leverage campaign learnings to provide campaign strategy recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
  • Adhere to quality control process and ensure delivery of an error-free product on a consistent basis.

Basic Qualifications 
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business-related field with 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years marketing automation experience, preferably Pardot and Salesforce.com, demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in defining, building, and maintaining marketing attribution, prioritization, segmentation, and campaign tracking (lead-scoring, lead management and automation, data compliance processes, campaign reporting - multi-touch attribution experience a plus) on Salesforce-based ecosystem components to include Pardot, Interaction and Engagement Studio (Personalization), and others.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable, resource intensive, integrated solutions
  • Extensive and in-depth knowledge of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, deliverability, content and design.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 
 

  • Pardot certification
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce and Tableau
  • Experience in cyber or IT security a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to effortlessly switch gears from explaining complex technical solutions in easy-to-understand terms for leadership to hands-on discussion with practitioners.
