What we do:

The Procurement Manager will enhance and manage Supernal’s Procurement program. The role is responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring the Procurement program with a team of 2+ buyers.

What you can do:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to assure the lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation
  • Participating and leading change management efforts while creating true alignment and integration internally and externally
  • Preparing purchasing/procurement reports including order status, purchase order status, and delivery schedules
  • Promoting a high level of requestor satisfaction in supporting the needs of Departmental projects and requirements for Purchasing guidance and leadership
  • Participating in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs and provide explanations for price variances at the Departmental level
  • Providing training, evaluation, and support to all planners and buyers to ensure process consistency, best-in-class planning and forecasting techniques, and appropriate execution of the MRP plan
  • Evaluates expediting activities and recommends to project managers appropriate corrective actions to planning parameters
  • Assesses current material availability, and reasonably predicts future availability based on market, delivery systems, and other variables
  • Processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Reduces back orders and late deliveries through consistent communication with vendors
  • Notifies suppliers of quality issues and manages supplier disposition/corrections
  • Coordinates returned goods to vendors for credit

What you can contribute:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years with ERP/MRP, Procurement, Planning, and Scheduling with the most recent in a leadership role (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • People development (assessment of others, feedback/coaching, delegation, motivating others, performance management, and communication expectations)
  • Interpersonal skills (relations building, teamwork, interpersonal insight, conflict resolution, customer orientation)
  • Lean training and Kaizen experience (Pull, Heijunka, Kanban)
  • Proven experience in managing purchasing strategy and duties across supply chain operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
  • Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite

You may also be able to contribute:

  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of systems: including ERP/MRP, Kanban (both supplier and customer), and Vendor Managed Inventory
  • Experience with SAP/S4 Hana
