What we do: 

The Hyundai Urban Air Mobility Division is looking for a highly experienced flight control systems lead software engineer.  They will be the software focal for embedded coding decisions, supplier management of software development, and flight control computer architecture design.  They will assist in managing low level requirements and any in house software efforts. This position will also help to define the system best practices and system philosophy. 

What you can do: 

  • Work closely with Flight Controls Systems lead in establishment of flight control computer architecture including hardware, processors, and compiler decisions
  • Manage software team requirements to support Flight Controls systems development and certification
  • Define IO requirements for flight control software with other aircraft systems
  • Define coding standards and software process definition
  • Supplier management of coding and low level testing efforts
  • Collaborate with Intelligent Systems, Avionics, Powertrain, and other aircraft systems in the development of the full software platform

What you can contribute:

  • Expertise with embedded coding and auto-coding
  • Bulk of experience with flight critical aircraft software
  • Strong experience with defining software requirements
  • Proven understanding of real time operating systems
  • Proficiency with C/C++
  • Comfortable with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
  • Software supplier management experience
  • Understanding of communications protocols (CAN, ARINC 429, RS-485, etc..)
  • Familiarity with DO-178B/C, DO-160, DO-254, ARP 4754A, ARP 4761
  • Highly collaborative and phenomenal communication skills
  • B.S. in aerospace, electrical, or a relevant engineering field

You may also be able to contribute: 

  • M.S. in aerospace, electrical, or a relevant engineering field
  • Familiarity with FAA part 23/25/27/29 or other certification experience
