What we do:
The Hyundai Urban Air Mobility Division is looking for a lead engineer for our Test & Evaluation Data Operations and Instrumentation team. This position will be a technical contributor with the responsibility to establish the core aspects of the Test & Evaluation Department's test data acquisition, data processing, and data storage systems. This position will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentoring other engineers in the design and implementation of unique data systems all aspects of ground and flight based testing. This includes but is not limited to design and implementation of data acquisition systems on test hardware, development of test data processing standards and methodology, and implementation of test data storage and access systems. Hands-on experience in fabrication and implementation of data acquisition systems is highly desired for this position.
What you can do:
Candidate will design, develop, document, and support the installation and operation of data acquisition systems for Test & Evaluation efforts. Will be working on hardware design, software design (C/C++, VBA), system integration, signal conditioning (e.g. strain gages, thermocouples, pressure transducers, accelerometers, displacement transducers, synchro’s calibration methods, IRIG 106 PCM, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429, IRIG 200 serial time code, Ethernet, GPS, telemetry (L-Band/S-Band), solid-state recording, digital video recording, and aircraft test instrumentation wiring. Will coordinate with the Data Processing Team on the formats of the data acquisition products. Will work with technicians and mechanics to fabricate and install instrumentation designs.
What you can contribute:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- In depth knowledge of airborne data acquisition and record systems
- In depth knowledge of data processing and storage methods and systems
- In depth knowledge of sensors and airborne test systems used in the support of flight test
- Knowledge of test methods and lab procedures
- Knowledge of Mil Standards, Digital Busses architecture (ARINC, 1553)
- Knowledge of Teletronics (Curtis-Wright) signal conditioning and data encoders and Zodiac (Safran) digital data recorders
- Strong digital literacy: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project
You may also be able to contribute:
- In depth knowledge of airborne telemetry systems
- Experience using relational data base with some programming skills, SQL, VB, C++, .NET
- Proven understanding of EVMS / Control Account Management
