As an Accountant II at Virgin Hyperloop, you will play an integral role in the Finance and Accounting Team by owning the GL, accounting for fixed assets, and managing the accounting for international subsidiaries. You will collaborate with various levels and departments within the organization to produce solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Prepare and recors asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Reconcile assigned accounts such as cash, fixed assets, deferred rent liabilities, prepaid expenses, capital leases and accrued expenses
  • Maintain ownership of the capital asset management system and tracking, including maintaining capital asset records and corresponding depreciation expense
  • Standardize workpaper documentation and implement process improvements 
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of regular reporting packages and statutory reporting for international subsidiaries
  • Responsible for the consolidation, review and analysis of financial information from international operations, working with global counterparts
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including variance reports
  • Analyze fluctuations in the financial statements and propose any necessary adjustments or reclassifications
  • Prepare filings for state and local taxes and the US Census Bureau
  • Assist with US and statutory audits  
  • Update & maintain the Chart of Accounts in NetSuite 
  • Support accounting team with various ad-hoc projects and requests
WHAT YOU'VE DONE
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or another related field or equivalent work experience
  • Combined private industry and public accounting experience 
  • CPA licensed or in progress 
  • Fixed asset accounting experience 
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP & Understanding of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Statement and their relationships 
  • Expert Excel skills including use of Pivot Tables, VLookUps, Macros, etc. 
  • High-level of accounting and analytical expertise 
  • Strong organizational and effective communication skills 
  • Self-motivated and able to work both as a member of a team and independently to accomplish responsibilities 
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Superb attention to detail and deadline-driven 
  • Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Systems Knowledge: NetSuiteCoupa, and Concur 
  • Manufacturing or Aerospace experience a plus 
  • Tax compliance
