ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Head of Career Services you will oversee our Careers & Alumni functions which ensures that our students receive the relevant career preparation support to get them ready for a tech career after completing one of our Bootcamps. There is also a focus on business development as you will develop and be accountable for establishing and maintaining an Employer Relation strategy - giving rise to sustainable strategic relationships with key industry-players. These partnerships give employers access to our graduates as Top-Tech Talent and push forth the agenda of driving employability in the tech industry.
The Head of Career Services is responsible for the post Bootcamp journey including end-to-end delivery and optimisation of the graduate program and alumni-relations strategy.
You will be taking charge of two teams under careers, namely the Career Advisory Team and the Alumni Relations Team. The Career Advisory team takes ownership of the post Bootcamp graduate program and ensures that graduates are market-ready. This includes delivery of career development learning and advisory services to ensure that graduates are technically ready and prepared to enter the job market. As Head of Career Services you will ensure all learning material remains relevant and bespoke and will partner with the Learning Design team and employer partners to ensure content commensurate with industry standards and requirements.
The Alumni Relations team activates the Alumni Relations Strategy - this includes working closely with Marketing to bring the Alumni roadmap to life through various brand activations (success story posts, social media engagements etc.) and events. They will be responsible for the accurate management of the alumni database and all communications related to establishing and maintaining an active alumni community. As the Alumni Network evolves - you will provide strategic direction to optimise the Alumni Relations Strategy.
To excel in this role you need to be able to chase big targets by making sure we build strategic partnerships to ensure successful placement of our graduates. It will be a balance between supporting student preparation and the mechanics of getting them placed. Relationship building with top tech companies is a must in order to ensure we are able to scale further.
- 5+ years of experience involved in a placement management function
- 5+ years of experience of team management experience
- 3+ years of experience working in Higher Education in a Careers or Alumni Department
- 3+ years of Account Management experience
- Relationship management experience
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- A degree in Human Resource Management or other relevant qualification
- 7+ years experience involved in a placement management function while running a team.
- 5+ Years experience working with placement platforms.
- 5+ years Account Management experience.
