As a member of the Finance & Accounting team, you’ll work cross functionally with many different departments. You’ll work alongside the Accounting Manager to continue to develop our organization’s processes & policies with ownership of several areas of our month-end close process. 

What you get to do every day

  • Perform credit card and bank reconciliations
  • Review employee expense reports for accurate categorization & supporting documentation.
  • Act as liaison between other departments for customer billing inquiry support.
  • Review prepaid accounts for accurate expense reporting
  • Assist with our organization’s payroll & benefits processing
  • Maintain timely tax reporting & ensure tax compliance with all respective state agencies where the organization has a business presence
  • Assist in the formation of internal controls and policies 
  • Play an integral role with the month-end close for specific areas of responsibility 
  • Provide insightful financial analysis, including explanations of variances between actual and prior period results, and presents findings
  • Support annual financial statement audits performed by an independent public accounting firm, which includes preparation and oversight of audit-ready financial statements and supporting workpapers
  • Provide support to leadership team as needs arise, including ad-hoc financial analysis, Board and investor reporting, and special projects

What you bring to the role 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2 - 3+ years of prior Accounting experience
  • Strong written & oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of work product
  • Strong attention to detail & critical thinking 
  • Advanced/Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite or large scale ERP, Expensify & Bill.com is preferred
