The Role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for developing and assisting sales growth, partnership creation, client management, and project delivery for Human Agency’s internally developed SaaS tool that turns outdated online interactions into engaging experiences. The CEO is ultimately accountable for being a significant contributor to improving the product’s P&L, developing and delivering the company roadmap, ensuring the marketing team has a positive impact on the product’s growth, and ensuring the product is positively regarded in the marketplace. The CEO will work directly with the company COO and Product Ops teams to ensure project success.
Primary Responsibilities
Partnership Management: Lead engagement with the clients over the course of their relationship with the product
- Develop and maintain relationships with designated individuals from the clients teams in order to communicate efficiently, clearly, and proactively
- Lead client meetings professionally and with prepared knowledge of and materials on all relevant client activities demonstrating the value the product brings to their goals and work
- Communicate to broader Product team feedback to continuously improve deliverables for any given client, overall Product systems, and client reporting
- Engage directly in ensuring deliverables, systems, and reporting are excellent as needed
Project Management: Serve as lead liaison between client and Product teams, ensuring expectations are communicated and met
- Document and communicate client needs, timelines, and expectations to the broader Product team
- Manage assigned team members, providing feedback and direction, to ensure success on client deliverables
- Maintain a basic understanding of services delivery and engage directly in ensuring client deliverables across all digital marketing domains are met as needed
- Collaborate with company leadership and Product team to improve project management systems as needed
- Prepare and report to company leadership on client satisfaction and team performance as needed
Hiring: Work with the hiring team to identify needs, recruit candidates, coordinate hiring process, and onboard team members within a budget
- In response to opportunities identified by the leadership, identify, develop, and implement employee policies and incentives that attract and retain talent
- Develop and implement systems for assessing employee satisfaction and utilize results to inform recommendations to senior leadership
- Manage staff or contract support for hiring
Revenue Generation: Secure new work or increase scope with clients
- Engage senior level decision makers from the client teams to communicate strategies and tactics, instilling confidence and excitement for Product’s value proposition across projects
- Develop strategies and solutions for potential or existing clients to increase revenue, employing a deep understanding of the Product’s capacities and a willingness to innovate to solve problems
- Implement the sales process from start to finish, identifying potential opportunities for clients, gathering needed research, developing appropriate budgets, and creating personalized sales presentations in partnership with members of the Product team
- Document sales process and work with other team members pursuing revenue to improve the company's overall sales strategy
This job is for you if you have:
- 8+ years in a sales / account manager role (preferably at software startup)
- Ability to accelerate revenue growth by acquiring as many new customers as possible
- Creative ability to generate ideas for messaging, ad campaigns, and creative deliverables and clearly communicate ideas to a team of executors
- Experience in sales or marketing for SaaS and Enterprise Software Startup
