What is the role?  

We are currently hiring for a Director, Portfolio Strategy to work within Digital Currency Group's newest subsidiary, HQ. HQ’s Wealth Advisory team works with the world’s leading crypto, blockchain, and DeFi entrepreneurs and investors on wealth and life management projects.

HQ’s Wealth Advisory team provides bespoke research and advice across various topics such as digital asset investing, fundamental factors, asset allocation, thematic investing and manager research and manages various outcome oriented, factor, and thematic portfolios on behalf of clients. In the role of Director, Portfolio Strategy, you will be responsible for implementing the firm’s views and our client’s objectives into bespoke investment portfolios.

What you will be responsible for: 

  • Collaborating with the Wealth Advisory team to understand clients’ unique needs and objectives and coordinating the design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of their customized, open architecture investment program across traditional and alternative investments to include digital assets
  • Providing expertise on strategic and tactical asset allocation across all asset classes, including digital assets, investment strategy, rebalancing, portfolio construction, manager selection, ongoing due diligence, monitoring, and reporting
  • Executing portfolio modeling, valuation analysis, and synergy evaluation on potential and existing direct investment opportunities
  • Staying apprised of the market in areas where direct investments are made or are being considered and assessing market performance, trends, regulatory changes, and reports on findings
  • Managing risk exposure and providing portfolio risk reports
  • Producing and updating materials and performance reports related to portfolios
  • Delivering holistic portfolio construction utilizing solutions beyond investing including financial planning, banking, and lending
  • Contributing to the investment research as needed

What we expect: 

Expertise in portfolio modeling 

  • 7-10 years of experience managing portfolios within wealth management
  • Investment experience with digital assets is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of portfolio modeling and strategy
  • Deep knowledge of multi-asset class portfolio construction and experience with ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • Familiarity with risk management and portfolio construction techniques using common industry tools
  • Deep understanding of the market and current trends, including digital assets
  • Expertise in risk management and portfolio analytics
  • Ability to communicate complex investment solutions to a variety of constituents with varying levels of investment knowledge
  • Fluency with various investment databases and performance reporting software

Salary range:

$200,000 to $250,000 annually.
