What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement data protection and privacy policies and programs to ensure compliance with the applicable data privacy laws and regulations
  • Provide privacy support to new product launches and initiatives
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments to embed privacy requirements in new scenarios and processes following the principles of “Privacy by Design”
  • Manage and follow up with Data Privacy matters, to enable successful navigation and compliance with company policies and applicable Data Privacy laws
  • Execute data governance policies and initiatives such as data mapping, data quality and data sharing
  • End to end track and manage data access and data subject requests in coordination across business functions
  • Keep up-to-date on current and emerging trends and changes in legislation within the area of Data Privacy and applicability to the organization
  • Compile and update an organized record of all compliance activities and maintain constant reporting
  • Design and implement appropriate training & awareness activities to secure policy adherence and awareness
  • Lead or participate other projects within or across departments

What We Are Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor degree or above 
  • Experience
    • Common law or EU (any EU jurisdiction) qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE, including at a law firm or in-house experiences
    • Familiar with data privacy laws and regulations in SG, experience in a data privacy compliance program
    • Good communication skills, excelled in interacting with external parties as well as internal parties
    • Prior experience in gaming or TMT industry preferred
  • Qualifications 
    • CIPP/E, CIPP/US and CIPM certifications are preferred but not mandatory
    • Excellent written and spoken English
    • Proficiency in Chinese is preferred but not mandatory
