Hotel Engine is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Group Sales Manager to join our esteemed Groups team. As the Group Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and fostering client relationships by effectively promoting the capabilities of our Groups department. Your strategic approach, exceptional communication skills, and passion for exceeding sales targets will be instrumental in maximizing group bookings. We want sales professionals ready to tap into an open marketplace, make their mark at a high growth company and further develop in your career.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Consistently meet or exceed KPI requirements.

  • Drive profitable revenue growth by achieving or exceeding established sales targets through

    effective negotiation, upselling, and cross-selling strategies.

  • Advocate for groups clients both internally and externally.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while proactively identifying and

    engaging new prospective clients to expand the hotel's group booking portfolio.

  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by maintaining open lines of communication, promptly

    addressing inquiries or concerns, and providing superior service throughout the booking

    process.

  • Create tailored proposals and presentations that showcase the hotel's unique features,

    amenities, and services, addressing the specific needs and preferences of different group

    segments.

  • Build a pipeline of opportunities through strategic account prospecting.

  • Utilize effective time management strategy and cadence-driven customer follow up.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional support teams and business partners – teams include

    departments such as sourcing, marketing, and project managers to ensure seamless execution

    of group bookings.

  • Learn and implement new software, processes and systems to support the team through rapid

    scale.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and potential challenges, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.

  • Be an expert in presenting Hotel Engine’s value position in the unmanaged travel market.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years B2B sales experience, preferably in hospitality sales

  • Passion for helping businesses improve their group travel.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and activities while paying attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with consistent change to support growth.

  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Pristine verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated, self-directed and resourceful professional ready to grow their careers in a highly

    competitive environment.

  • Ability to use consultative sales approach to identify additional opportunities within current

    customer base

  • Extremely organized with keen insight and track record of retaining and expanding existing

    customer base

  • This role is performance based, the ability to identify additional opportunities to drive revenue is

    critical

  • Available for travel (up to 5% per year).

    Cash compensation:

    · The base salary for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 annually with opportunity for variable based on performance and an expected OTE of $90,000 - 100,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above.

    Remote Opportunities:

    · This role is eligible for remote work. Hotel Engine is authorized to do business in all 50 states.
