This position manages a sizable team of technical support staff working across multiple time zones, with a large portfolio of products and service that serve many millions of customers.

The supervisor will work closely with the Managers and other support teams across two locations to ensure consistency in meeting and exceeding the company’s metrics and service expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role tasked with identifying problems and trends, determining root causes, and executing solutions in a fast paced, multi-site environment while managing closely to budgets.


  • Responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Linux/Windows server monitoring teams
  • Responsible for Organizing tasks for teams during Shifts
  • Periodically check monitoring tools (Icinga, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Cacti, NFSen) and make sure that the teams are handling server notices in a timely and thorough manner
  • Assist the team (if required) to Investigate and resolve server problems
  • Maintain and improve operations by monitoring and managing department metrics and identifying process issues
  • Identify repeated incidents/alerts and build tools/scripts which will enable L1 team to fix issues faster
  • Coordinate learning and development opportunities for subordinates and contribute to build a highly skilled (Windows /Linux) Monitoring team
  • Assist in reviewing, improving, and implementing business processes and policies to achieve corporate and brand goals
  • Oversee a team of Linux/Windows administrators and ensure that they are trained, coached and counseled
  • Involve in administering schedules, communicate job expectations, manage the Performance Evaluation process and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Prepare performance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
  • Utilize Jira to manage projects and initiatives and coordinate between multiple supervisors and teams
  • Assist in determining, and ensuring adherence to documentation procedures in Confluence
  • Involved in hiring, training, and development of the Technical Operations staff
  • Build minor web tools needed by the team in any programming language you are comfortable

  • Should possess advanced troubleshooting skills on Dell and Supermicro Hardware along with Raid controllers from Dell, LSI & Adaptec
  • Must have a passion for system monitoring tools and must have an expertise in maintaining tools like Nagios, Zabbix, cacti, SolarWinds, Ganglia, Collect D, stack Storm, Arp Watch, Smoke Ping etc
  • Always looking for scope to automate and build tool to expedite repetitive task
  • Comfortable with one or more of the following configuration managements tools: Puppet, Chef or Ansible
  • Good level skills with Scripting/Programming in Bash/PERL/Ruby/Python/Go/Powershell (any) and a good understanding of regular expressions
  • Should have minimum of 2 years experience as System Administrator in managing a large cluster of servers running common web hosting panels like cPanel, Plesk, website Panel, Parallels virtuozzo etc
  • Have a good level understanding of Web, DNS & Mail
  • Good understanding of various other technology stacks like Networking, Central storage & Data Center operations
  • Knowledgeable in project management tools, processes and techniques, Workforce Management and scheduling experience
  • Strong mentoring and relationship building skills to effectively manage group and interpersonal conflict situations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to facilitate meetings and mentor junior team members
  • Qualification: Diploma / BE / BCA / MCA / MSc in Comp / BTech/ Mtech (RHCE/CCNA/MCP/MCSA/MCSE/MCSD/CCNA certified will be a Plus)

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience in WHM / cPanel and WHMCS
  • Knowledge in DDoS mitigation tools like Arbor etc
  • Hands on experience in JIRA / Confluence
  • Ability to train others on technical and procedural topics
  • Deep understanding of best practices for server-level management and security
  • Strong technical skills in web hosting environment enabling you to understand issues and drive solutions
  • Experience with Scrum, Lean or Agile product development is a strong plus
  • Familiar with business processes around finance, billing, customer and relationship management
  • Familiar with working in a SOC/SOX-compliant environment and how to design/ follow procedures as well as write documentation to maintain compliance is a plus
