Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find, fix, and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product,  the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. What You’ll Do

You'll be joining an excellent and enthusiastic team of modern javascript engineers. You will work closely with our Engineering team to execute on our technical roadmap to ship new features and products. You'll be expected to hit the ground running, working hands-on with our front-end codebase. You will build features, review code, write tests, maintain infrastructure, and help define best practices. This role is for you if you thrive in fast-paced, high-velocity environments that require you to wear many hats, think on your feet, and are excited about mentoring and growing junior members of the team.

We work almost entirely in Typescript. Our applications are built in React, and backend in Python. We're built on AWS, so familiarity with their product suite is a major plus.

  • Build features - UI/UX components and UI/UX features for our core NodeZero enterprise SaaS Platform.
  • Review Code - review your code and other engineers' code, implement best practices, and maintain high-quality code across the team. 
  • Write tests - own and write unit tests for every feature that you own.
  • Maintain infrastructure - ensure the application runs smoothly and performs well while adhering to CI/CD best practices.
  • Play a technical leadership role for your stream/team while developing features. You will lead and guide technical product requirements and maintain cross-functional collaboration and communication.
  • Mentor, train, and help junior members of the team grow.

What You’ll Bring 

  • BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent technical degree.
  • 7+ years working on production applications with real-world users.
  • Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and product managers.
  • Experience managing and maintaining production infrastructure.
  • High growth, fast-paced, startup (or similar) experience building products and features from the ground up – the ability to take a feature/product from POC to MVP to market on time.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to build accessible products for all users.
  • Ability to project manage concurrent initiatives and use effective judgment in prioritization and time management.  
  • Creative, self-motivated, highly energetic, detail and results-oriented. 
  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to understand the product, its logs, and troubleshoot errors.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication.

In accordance with various State’s transparency regulations, we provide the following salary range information for this position:

  • Base salary range: $150,000 - $180,000 annually. The exact salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
  • Additional compensation: This role may also be eligible for an equity package (in the form of stock options). If any other compensation benefits apply, they will be discussed during the interview process.
