National Teacher Associates (NTA Life), a Horace Mann Company, is seeking a Territory Development Specialist to help us increase sales to existing and potential new clients within a specific territory. Your key responsibility will be helping us expand our customer base and establish our reputation within our niche markets.

As a Territory Development Specialist, your responsibilities include presenting our products to new and existing clients, identifying customer needs, and recommending benefit solutions. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate is enthusiastic, career-minded, and self-motivated. We are seeking an individual with excellent communication abilities who is self-driven and highly motivated to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct group and individual meetings within the established client base
  • Identify and solicit new business prospects in the assigned territory for new account growth
  • Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers
  • Perform initial and follow-up sales calls on prospective and current clients    
  • Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities

Required Skills

  • Two years of sales experience is required. B2B sales  is strongly desired
  • Results-oriented, driven self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to achieve goals
  • Life & Health insurance license is required but can be obtained during the onboarding process
