Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the development team to design, create, and execute automated and manual tests to ensure the quality of our software products. As an SDET, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, creating and executing test plans and solving complex framework related issues. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to identify feasibility of test scenarios, write test scripts, identify and report defects to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality.
- Work with engineering and product teams to identify test scenarios and write test scripts.
- Monitor and report on the automation test runs.
- Identify and report defects.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing requirements.
- Participate in manual testing for new features and automation feasibility checks.
- Work with the team to continually identify gaps in testing processes and methodologies and improve them.
- Quickly adapt to new technologies and processes in the team.
- Work closely with the quality team to ensure that all testing activities are aligned with project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams.
- Ensure that all test artifacts are properly maintained and updated.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing technologies and best practices.
- Provide demos of new implementation and PoCs to the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in software development or software testing
- Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages (such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Experience of at least 2+ years with one or more of the test automation frameworks (such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Protractor, Playwright)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, HP ALM)
- Experience with performance testing and profiling tools (e.g. JMeter) is nice to have
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Experience with cloud computing technologies (such as AWS, Azure, GCP) is nice to have
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for quality and attention to detail
