Your future contribution:
As the leader of the DevOps Team, you’ll be part of a passionate and innovative group driving the company’s DevOps transformation. We're focused on building infrastructure to serve class-leading products for millions of customers daily and empowering developers to self-service their engineering needs. You will join a dynamic and ambitious tech organization combining Extreme programming, DevOps, test-driven and trunk-based development principles to maximize business value. Our engineering teams perform multiple releases to production per day, with the DevOps team being crucial in enabling such high working velocity in a stable and secure manner. You will lead our DevOps Engineering team, contribute to setting team goals, plan the team’s work, as well as coach and mentor your colleagues.
How you’ll add value:
- Plan and organize quarterly goals and the day-to-day activities of the team
- Work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to refine requirements, divide work into clear milestones, identify blockers
- Research, implement and develop new technologies in our infrastructure
- Ensure our security posture is top-notch according to industry standards
- Analyze monitoring data to find inefficiencies and bottlenecks
- Continuously improve the speed, efficiency and scalability of our infrastructure
- Solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
- Communicate and align within and across teams
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
- See infrastructure as a product
- Have proven leadership experience
- See DevOps as a culture, not just a job title
- Live and breathe Agile: Scrum and Kanban are no strangers to you
- Are proficient in:
- Systems Administration and Network Infrastructure
- CI/CD (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- AWS
- Terraform
- Kubernetes (EKS)
- Have excellent knowledge of Linux/Unix and key services which make the web work (Nginx, Elasticsearch, MariaDB, Redis, etc.)
- Understand the networking concepts (HTTP, TLS, load balancing/failover and other TCP/IP concepts)
- Have excellent knowledge of monitoring, alerting and logging systems (Grafana+Prometheus, New Relic, ELK Stack)
- Are experienced working with automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, etc..)
- Have experience with large-scale infrastructure
- Have strong understanding of IT security concepts
- Are fluent in English
