Here at Hometap, we’re collaborative, passionate, and always ready to roll up our sleeves to create solutions that help people get more out of homeownership — and out of life. Our first product, a home equity investment, gives homeowners the opportunity to quickly access the equity they’ve built in their home to pay for what’s most important to them, from handling debt to finally making much-needed renovations, without taking on debt.

We work hard, and have some fun along the way, too. You don’t have to take our word for it: The Boston Globe and Comparably have recognized us as a great place to work, and we’ve been honored for our commitment to innovation in the fintech space by Inc.HousingWire, and more!

In case you need any more convincing, we also provide competitive compensation, healthcare coverage, unlimited PTO, a generous share package, and a strong culture with plenty of opportunities for team-building and camaraderie.

Interested in joining us on our mission to make homeownership less stressful and more accessible? We’d love to talk.

Who You Are:

We’re looking for an ambitious, creative, and detail-oriented Copywriter Intern to support creative projects at Hometap.

As our Copywriter Intern, you will work closely with our in-house creative team (creative director, writers, and designers) and marketing team to craft engaging, on-brand copy for a variety of Hometap assets, including blog and social media posts. This role is a great fit for an individual who is seeking more hands-on experience with the entire creative process, from conceptualizing fresh and engaging ideas that resonate with homeowners to drafting copy and incorporating feedback in order to create a final product that delivers on expectations for all stakeholders.

Please include 2-3 writing/work samples with your application. Samples can include social media posts, promotional emails, PDFs, or landing pages, feature articles, or blog posts. (Feel free to submit these samples via a Portfolio link, in the same document with your Resume, or in the "Cover Letter" section of the application.)

What You’ll Do:

  • Draft copy for blog posts, social media posts (carousels and static), new hire bios, and more
  • Build a mastery of Hometap’s brand voice and tone
  • Work closely with the Senior Brand Copywriter and designers to incorporate feedback and revise copy in Canva and Google Docs to meet brand and style guidelines and messaging objectives
  • Brainstorm and contribute/present concepts for social media content

What You’ll Bring:

  • 6 months to a year of copywriting, content writing, or journalism experience
  • Familiarity with creating content for social media channels, including Instagram, X, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Familiarity with Canva (bonus points for Figma)
  • A finger on the pulse of social media/pop culture/marketing trends
  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally
