Primary Assignments:
- Lead the development and growth of a robust EHS Team, emphasizing workplace safety and compliance within daily operations.
- Direct a dynamic cross-functional team in crafting and implementing an injury prevention plan to enhance workplace safety.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and carbon footprint reduction, aligning with corporate objectives.
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends, develop action plans, and align strategies with business goals.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations, identify causal factors, and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance across all aspects, from permits to documentation, utilizing EHS Management Systems effectively.
- Support and empower the Process Safety Engineer in capital enhancement and emergency planning efforts.
- Stay abreast of emerging risks and regulations, fostering a culture of proactive compliance.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration and excellence.
- Foster a problem-solving culture that encourages open reporting and sustainable achievement of business goals
Essential Qualifications:
- BS or BA Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- 10+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with a proven track record of implementing sustainable programs and driving results
- Experience with Ammonia systems required
- At least 3 years of experience leading and supervising a team of EHS, engineering, and/or operations professionals
- Previous experience with PSM, Air Permit (RTO), Radiation Safety, Fire Safety, and Crisis Management a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools
