1) Internship within the Content Editorial team (1 position)

HomeLight is seeking a summer video production intern to join the Content Editorial team and help us create videos for our YouTube channel and blog. You will work with our Editorial team to script, shoot, edit, and publish short videos about real estate, homeownership, and home sales on a weekly basis. You are driven and creative, you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and you’re looking for a way to build your portfolio as a content creator.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with our in-house Content Editorial team to produce short form videos about real estate.
  • Write scripts, create sets and lighting, shoot footage, and edit at least 4 videos per week.
  • Publish each video to HomeLight’s YouTube channel, embed the content on our blog, configure the content for SEO, and cut snippets for promoting the videos on our social media platforms.
  • Be an all-around team player - as an operator in a growing start-up your responsibilities will constantly be growing and evolving

You Have

  • Major in film, video production, or related mixed media arts.
  • Experience with camera, lighting equipment, and working with actors
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills (there will be a test)
  • Motivation to break into Content Marketing, Video Production, or related fields

2) Internship within the Content Outreach team (1 position)

HomeLight is seeking a summer marketing intern to join the Content Outreach team and help us promote our content through PR, link building, and social media.

You will work with our Outreach & Promotions team to coordinate and complete an infographic marketing campaign to promote our blog.

You will come up with a concept for the post, work with designers to develop a graphic, work with Editorial to publish a blog post, and then work with Outreach to pitch bloggers/journalists/influencers and get them to share the graphic with their audiences.  You are driven and creative, you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and you’re looking for a way to build experience in Public Relations, SEO, or Marketing.

What You’ll Do

  • Come up with a topic for the campaign.
  • Work with designers to create a shareable graphic.
  • Work with HomeLight’s Editorial team to publish a blog post about the graphic.
  • Prospect and pitch bloggers / journalists / influencers to get them to share the graphic.
  • Measure and report on the campaign’s success.
  • Create a repeatable playbook for future infographic campaigns at HomeLight.

You Have

  • Major in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills (there will be a test)
  • Graphic design experience a plus, specifically on Adobe products
  • Motivation to break into Content Marketing, SEO, Public Relations, or related fields
