HomeAdvisor is seeking a Compliance Intern to join the Compliance team for our 10-week, remote summer internship. You will help with preparation for our SOX walkthroughs, while working as a liaison to both the business and our internal and external auditors. You will assist with internal compliance reviews that are used to prevent and detect control failures. You will help implement automation within our processes, with oversight and guidance from senior members of the team.

Qualities that make a great candidate:

  • Pursuing a BS in Accounting or Computer Science/Computer Information Systems graduating in 2022 or prior
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate with people of varying levels within an organization
  • Comfortable learning independently and asking for help
  • Strong interest and desire to learn about controls design and processes

Preferred Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of Audit/Control Design, GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, COSO and/or COBIT.
