WHAT YOU'LL DO:

HiveWatch is in search of a Software Engineer - Platform. This role will report directly to our VP of Engineering. As a Software Engineer - Platform you will:

  • Build, enhance, and operate Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD pipelines integral to delivering services to our customers in the cloud
  • Increase the resiliency, scalability, and maintainability of our production, test, and development environments 
  • Participate in the end-to-end lifecycle of software delivery through planning, development, deployment, testing, maintenance & monitoring

TECH STACK:

  • Languages: TypeScript, Kotlin, and Rust
  • Deployments: Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Terraform, and Helm
  • Infrastructure: Postgres, S3, AWS Kinesis
  • Communication: GraphQL & REST API, Wireguard, MQTT

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with object oriented programming, debugging custom software, and performance/diagnostics measurement skills
  • Knowledge of AWS architecture and services
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform
  • Experience with distributed, scalable micro service-based architectures
  • Experience building and operating application containers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with AWS managed services
  • Experience troubleshooting custom applications in a service architecture
  • Knowledge and experience of Relational Databases, SQL, and data modeling
  • Experience building and operating application containers
  • Experience working in a professional development workflow to include source code management, issue tracking, and collaboration tools

ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • Salary range for this position: $120,000 to $140,000 per year
  • Eligible to participate in HiveWatch Equity Incentive Plan
