WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop solutions for connectivity, security, observability and device management of edge devices
  • Develop IoT edge applications for VM and physical appliance deployment
  • Manage and tune infrastructure, making use of managed services wherever appropriate (AWS IoT, Kinesis, etc.)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture(s) meet the end-to-end system requirements
  • Champion the design of secure solutions; we want to strive for the easiest method to also be the most secure

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be expected to:

  • Design quality systems considering the available resources and expertises of others
  • Contribute processes and standards within the Engineering organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in AWS
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Rust, Kotlin/Java, Go, C / C++
  • 2+ years of experience with Linux platform development
  • Experience with MQTT, AMQP and various IoT and IIoT protocols
  • Solid understanding of network routing and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, NAT, Wireguard VPN)

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and IaC
