About the Role:

We’re looking for a Staff Designer to join our Product Design Team. Like us, you believe design can be used to form defensible moats and competitive advantages in our mission to make Healthcare seamless and accessible. You’ve shown that digital products can both provide value while also look and feel great. You obsess over details (sometimes more than you should) and you think visually, in a way that brings stakeholders along your journey. You’re a full-stack designer who brings every piece to product design—art direction, motion and prototyping, systems thinking, storytelling, and more. You believe that typography and the words themselves are essential to a great experience and use actual recommendations instead of Lorem Ipsum.

You do all of this because you obsess over the best apps and products with a curiosity that pushes your craft to the next level. It’s how you have a unique ability to turn broad requirements into tangible solutions through showing not telling. If your happy place is tuning out distractions and zoning into the work, we’d love to give you the space and freedom to flex your craft on the exciting new challenges we’re taking on in healthcare.

You Will:

  • Owning larger projects that require multiple levels of coordination or working at the forefront of a new digital product design initiative
  • Innovative execution that drives the vision of our platform, highly conceptual designs, and an ability to set new industry standards for design excellence
  • Driving communication between cross-functional partners to prioritize high-value opportunities, mitigate constraints, and providing contributors with direction
  • Partnering with Product Managers and Engineering to navigate complex design opportunities toward potential solutions through thorough deliverables
  • Experience interfacing with Executive Teams through an ability to present work clearly, succinctly, and with a keen awareness of aspects of work that drive highest impact to business
  • Overseeing the quality and design output for your projects in a way that heavily influences overall quality of our platform
  • Partnering with other designers with an ability to play to their strengths while also fostering growth and development
  • Designing whatever it takes from visual comps or wireframes to flows and prototypes
  • Keep in mind, our design team is growing and we encourage a curious mindset that allows you to shape your role into one that’s focused on where your interests and business needs intersect!

You Have:

  • Full stack Designer with 10+ years of industry experience
  • Familiar with working with companies at various stages (seed → public)
  • Experience in working with cross-functional roles such as product managers, engineers, researches and marketers
  • A holistic approach to design, from high level strategy to small design details
  • Technical knowledge that allows a transformative role with engineering collaboration and influence
  • Adaptability and excitement for working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with using the best design tool for the job
  • Ability to utilize Figma, Adobe CC and various prototyping tools in order to communicate a vision
  • A keen eye for typography, art direction, and voice
  • Great communicator with strong opinions that are loosely held
  • Receptive to feedback and humble enough to dig deeper and keep an open mind

Nice to Have:

  • You have a passion for motion design, specifically as it relates to systems like transitions and patterns
  • Your technical abilities show a clear understanding and curiosity of the development tools and technologies used to implement from css and javascript to animation libraries and react

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We are also required to measure our progress toward having at least 7% of our workforce be individuals with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years.

Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
