Who you are We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.
Responsibilities
Manages pharmacy inventory.
Prepares, fills, and labels orders and dispensed medications under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist (pulls prepackaged medication or obtains stock containers).
Prepackages oral, and external medications using various packaging and labeling equipment.
Picks up/receives physician orders and reviews for completeness; determines availability of drug formularies; obtains patient information on prescriptions and maintain the Pharmacy Patient Medication Profiles.
Interprets physician’s directions and types prescription labels.
Orders medication and pharmaceutical supplies under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Receives and verifies delivered orders; restocks medication shelves and supply bins; rotates and removes outdated drugs; maintains a clean working environment including Pharmacy equipment and work counters; maintains stock records.
Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across the pharmacy for various needs
Required current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Arizona.
Strong communication skills and can work independently.
Full Time Role - Wednesday - Saturday, 10hr shifts.
