Who you are
We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.

Responsibilities

  • Manages pharmacy inventory.
  • Prepares, fills, and labels orders and dispensed medications under the supervision of a
    licensed Pharmacist (pulls prepackaged medication or obtains stock containers).
  • Prepackages oral, and external medications using various packaging and labeling
    equipment.
  • Picks up/receives physician orders and reviews for completeness; determines availability
    of drug formularies; obtains patient information on prescriptions and maintain the
    Pharmacy Patient Medication Profiles.
  • Interprets physician’s directions and types prescription labels.
  • Orders medication and pharmaceutical supplies under the supervision of a licensed
    Pharmacist.
  • Receives and verifies delivered orders; restocks medication shelves and supply bins;
    rotates and removes outdated drugs; maintains a clean working environment including
    Pharmacy equipment and work counters; maintains stock records.

Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across the pharmacy for various needs
  • Required current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Arizona.
  • Strong communication skills and can work independently.
  • Full Time Role - Wednesday - Saturday, 10hr shifts.
