This role sits on the creative team but works hand-in-hand with our supply chain and operations team. We are looking for an individual who can be creative with real world constraints as well as evolve our packaging to remain competitive in the DTC world as well as in the off-line world.
Understand, interpret, and refine package testing procedures and standards to support the effective design, validation, and implementation of new eCommerce and Retail packages that meet customer requirements and brand standards
Experience in Packaging testing standards (ASTM, ISTA)
Identify and provide a rationale for funds needed to successfully deliver project goals
Develop, justify, and execute capital projects related to eCommerce and Retail packaging margin improvement opportunities
Define, implement, and own packaging engineering standards across all product categories
Develop and support quality systems around packaging acceptance criteria
Assume end-to-end remit for pipeline innovations and design renovations, accountabilities including Primary, Secondary and Tertiary packaging
Be co-responsible for shaping the overall strategy, and workflow for operational excellence and delivery outperformance
A proven track record in managing ‘holistic’ packaging development, including the creation, development, and delivery of own-able structural and functional consumer impactful packaging innovations, resulting in notable commercial impact
In-depth knowledge of materials, processes, and application of these

Experience & Skills:
7+ years experience
In-house Beauty or Consumer Healthcare experience
Experience in eCommerce and Retail
Knowledge of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging systems and processes, manufacturing process equipment and processes, material science, and quality systems
Fundamental knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc), Rhino, and Cinema. Experience with other 3D software is a plus
